Well, that sucks. Why go to a running school? You'd think they would be smart enough to use him better, but still, you'd think there would be better opportunities for him out there.
These are the type of moves Fleck should be trying to make. Getting a player of that caliber could finally get Minnesota over the hump.
Fleck has done a pretty solid job with the portal which is not to say they shouldn't go after this guy maybe. Perhaps they don't want to clash with that dude Kaliakmanis coming in who is a 4* right?
They've also offered Daniel Kaelin from NE whose brother is a Fr. swimmer at Minnesota.
Newly hired Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman is currently in search for a defensive coordinator, and Boston College defensive coordinator Tem Lukabu is reportedly in consideration. According to Bryan Driskell of Irish Breakdown, the second year Eagles defensive coordinator is one of four finalists for the position. The other names the Irish are considering include former Miami HC Al Golden, Houston DC Doug Belk, and Minnesota DC Joe Rossi.

If he's a finalist then obviously he's already been interviewed? Do not like!

Tough to blame good WR's for not coming here with how little they throw.
The flip side to that is that Fleck has produced two 1st-rounders in the past 5 years. Sounds like this guy is looking to get some better offers. Same thing happened with Bateman, other schools came calling after he was committed, but Fleck built up such a strong relationship that he wasn't going anywhere.

Three-star RB Darius Taylor commits to the Gophers. He is from Michigan and had offers from Iowa, Michigan State and Wisconsin, among others.
And??

I've seen Aidan play many times. He throws a good ball. But you have to remember that his dad was his coach and designed the offense to showcase his son.
I've also heard that he put on the "Freshman 50" while in Ames.
The Hometown Hero they need is Jaxson Howard. I'm not sure who the coach of the Gophers is nowadays, but whoever that guy that sort of looks like PJ Fleck is, he needs to get Howard to commit.
Jaxson Howard put the Gophers in his Final Four, with Michigan, Miami and LSU.
No idea if that's just lip service for the hometown team or if they have a legit chance to land him.

Is this kid any good Dawg? Never heard of him....

His dad is Willie Howard. Was a second round pick for the Vikings in 2001. Got his knee ripped up and broke his leg halfway through his rookie season and never played again.
Kid is legit. Has offers from pretty much every highly regarded school.
Picked up their 23 QB this morning. Kid from Michigan who was originally committed of Eastern Michigan. Teammate of RB commit Darius Taylor. Mostly had MAC offers.
a commitment from Texas LB McCutchin should shake things up and probably bring in some other offers. first power 5 team to make an offer so seems like he was pretty flattered.
