The part that I see as inexcusable is the lack of ever trying. I'm not talking about one drive or one pass. The whole f'g game, try. The whole world knows 99 times out of 100 the Gophers are losing that game. Have we ever run a fake punt in the seven years Fleck has been here? He'd never do it against a team we should beat so do it against someone we shouldn't beat. How about a trick play or not running every single time Spann-Ford goes in motion (sitting on my couch I knew exactly what they were going to do. Does Fleck think Ohio St. Didn't figure it out?). Fleck talks about explosive plays in his formula to win games. How many plays did they run that genuinely could have produced an explosive play? Maybe two or three? Game plan, add a wrinkle. Like the last season with Ciarrocca they added a toss specifically for Iowa and it really worked. I'm not holding my breath but don't run the same five plays against Wisconsin and if it doesn't work say, "I guess we aren't going to win today" and proceed to run the same five plays to keep it close.

Yes, the Big Ten West is the little brother to the East and basically any West team will be a sacrificial lamb in the title game. Coyle quietly is overseeing a really crummy athletic department right now....football sucks. Men's and women's hoop sucks. Rodent hockey for both men and women are down. Volleyball is down. Baseball sucks. Wrestling isn't good anymore.

It is what it is. Look at the Michigan and OSU games. They are both light years ahead of the Gophers in talent and scheme. I agree with everyone’s sentiment of not trying. Why not say eff it. Run an end around pitch it back to the QB play. Run a fake punt. Would it make any difference? Probably not but go out fighting. The saddest part is wait until the Pac 12 teams come in next year. We go further down the rabbit hole.

Not really. If Cody Lindenberg or Baranowski do not play then it will be a blood bath since the only LB'ers available are Walk-Ons who got shredded by Purdue. I will flip back and forth between the Iron Bowl and the Axe game
