I said previously that if this off-season can end without Merrill and Johansson on the team, it will be a good one. I figure there's no chance of trading Freddy with his contract.

I only watched here and there, busy with something else. Wild stopped taking shots at the end, I think they should have kept trying, they already have had plenty of practice passing up shots this season, don’t need any more.
Also, Audra said something about them needing every point they can get. No, no they don’t. Points for them now are totally meaningless.

Correct. Every extra point they get now hurts their draft prospects. Meanwhile, Chicago will get another very high pick...

Pretty cool to see Jasper get a shut out. I tuned out of this team pretty early this year, but they seem to have some things cooking with the young guys. Great core of guys either in their prime or about to hit it with Kaprizov, Ek, Boldy, Rossi. And then guys like Marat and Jasper, and then another handful of good prospect talent that hasnt seen the league yet. Might need to parlay some pieces into another stud defenseman to put with Faber for the core...and then Zuker and Parises dead money going away after next year (?).

Until several bloated contracts are off the books it's going to take lightning in a bottle with lower paid FAs and young players surpassing expectations with a goalie having a career season. 1500 to 1 odds.
