The Wizards are beat up, they are jostling for ping pong balls, only Detroit has a worse record than they do, and they are on the second half of a back to back. Still, my lizard brain is screaming TRAP GAME! First and foremost, considering our opponent and the fact that we face Denver tomorrow night - there's a big concern we could be totally looking past Washington. Secondly, for as bad as the Wizards have been this year - 4 of their 15 wins have come in the last 10 games. And finally, Jordan Poole has come around and is averaged 21 ppg over that stretch - plus Deni Avdija continues to put his game together in a very complete way. Over his last ten, he's averaging 19.7 ppg/ 9.5 rpg/ 4.5 apg. The Timberwolves really need to win this one. We are fairly set for the playoffs - but you don't want to limp in, you want to enter them on fire. Minnesota beat the Wizards 118-107 in our only other meeting this season.
