This will be the pentultimate game in a very exciting 2023-24 regular season for our Timberwolves. There's little reason for the Hawks (currently on a four game losing streak) to bring their A game tonight - they and the Bulls are locked into the 9 and 10 spots in the Eastern Conference, and will face each other in the play-ins. That said, the Hawks were 127-113 victors over Minnesota the only other time the two teams played this year - plus hold a 7-3 advantage over Minnesota in the last few years. They have kind of had our number. The big news for Minnesota is that Karl-Anthony Towns is listed as Questionable - and could quite possibly see some PT tonight.
The Timberwolves are favored by 13 points.
Injury Report:
Atlanta - Saddiq Bey, Jalen Johnson, Wes Matthews, Seth Lundy and Onyeka Okongwu are Out. Clint Capela, AJ Griffin and Dejounte Murray are all Questionable. The recent injuries to Johnson and Okongwu are especially tough for Atlanta - as both are expected to miss their play-in series vs the Bulls.
Minnesota - Jaylen Clark is Out. Karl Anthony-Towns has been upgraded to Questionable. When checking the official injury reports from around the league, the conclusion I come to is that the Timberwolves are in fabulous shape going into the playoffs. Let's hope nothing weird happens in these final two games.
