The 7th place Phoenix Suns (48-33) stride into Target Center this afternoon to face the 2nd place Minnesota Timberwolves (56-25). Tip off is at 2:30 PM.

This is it - the final game of a remarkable 2023-24 regular season! This Suns have had our number this year - winning both earlier games by double figures, but also by final margins that were closer than the games felt. Phoenix has generally had their way with us in recent years - boasting a 9-1 record in the matchups. If they win today and New Orleans loses, the Suns will secure the 6th spot in the Western Conference - and thus avoid a play-in series. Phoenix is 6-4 and the Timberwolves 7-3 over the last ten games.




The Timberwolves are favored by 4.5 points.


Injury Report:

Phoenix - Damion Lee is Out. Drew Eubanks is Questionable.

Minnesota - Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards are Questionable. Jaylen Clark is Out.

We've been underdogs lately in similar circumstances, the Suns have demolished us this year, they seem to be fully healthy and need a win (and a Pels loss - they play LAL i think) to avoid the play-in. Plus we have questions about KAT and Ant's health this afternoon.

Good question. I think 2 reasons might be we’ve been the better team all season and we’re at home.

The problem for us when playing the Suns are their ability to play small. It's hard for Towns and Rudy to defend the Suns perimeter game. Matchup nightmare there. Our matchup nightmare offensively would be our size but unfortunately Rudy has bad hands and Towns is a perimeter player.
